Radio Free Steak

microphone.jpgTwo articles of note:

First, I Heard It on NPR -
The employees of Saveur magazine have listed their 100 favorite restaurants, food, drink, and, well, things. (The above URL has the link for the list, as well as the story from NPR, which is well worth a listen.) (As an added bonus, they include the recipe for perde pilavi, a Turkish wedding dish. If anyone tries it, let us know how it turns out.)

Second, Steak a la CBS -
The Early Show has an interesting story on choosing the right steak on a budget.

"90. Crispy Buffalo Wontons (Ruby Tuesdays) – Various states"

I think this officially discredits the list, the magazine, NPR for carrying the story, and the relatives and any eventual descendants of anyone involved.

So, have you tried them?

Posted by: PMMJ at January 25, 2006 1:15 PM

Nope, but I've been to Ruby Tuesday's enough times to never, ever, ever want to go back.

Call me close-minded if you like--I can live with that label if it means never going there and eating something called a "crispy buffalo wonton."

I agree about Ruby Tuesdays seemingly discrediting the list, however, I tried these crispy buffalo wontons and they are wonderful. I don't even like buffalo chicken, but these are unique and tasty. Maybe try them before criticizing them so you know what you are talking about.
